| | It’s Tricia’s 30th birthday today.
Today I am making her my signature ooey-gooey Coffee-Chocolate Cake (a standing birthday request from her). It was a recipe that I got out of the now-out-of-print Victoria magazine when they did a feature on Jan Karon’s Mitford series. A famous chef designed several cakes that were supposedly being entered into a cake competition. It is delicious!!!
She wants to play cards and enjoy a day off.
Sarah is planning a surpirise birthday celebration with all the girls.
I’m glad she is my sister.
We were always very close growing up, sharing the same room, and rubbing off on one another.
Tricia is kind but opinionated to a fault.
She is blunt and says it like it is.
She is the most loyal person that I know.
She loves the family obsessively and is always organizing dinners and lunches to get together.
She has tried to slow down since her bout with ulcerative colitis.
She stays up late and sleeps late in the morning.
She is a non-stop-talker and is a curbed tomboy.
She has very little sense of style.
Trish is an excellent negotiator, mediating many fights and misunderstandings in our home.
She is sensitive, but is so happy-go-lucky that she never seems to get down.
She is honorable and most of the time thinks too highly of her own opinions and beliefs.
She is a stickler for honoring Mom and Dad.
She loves Christmas, and is always pestering us about what we are getting for whom, making sure everyone gets what they want.
She decorates the outside of the house insanely with thousands of lights during the holidays.
She is shy, hates talking on the phone, and loves to hide behind her accomplished internet persona.
When you get to know her, she opens up and can talk your head off.
She loves the bakery business and can’t stop talking about it night and day.
Her bedroom is a computer lab, and she was the first Jones to venture from a Mac to a PC!
She is a self-taught Webmaster.
She records movies off tv for the family to watch in the evenings when we are all home, and makes sure that Mom and Dad are entertained every evening.
She loves to play games (Phase Ten, Canasta, Scrabble, Mexican Dominoes).
She has many nicknames: Trish, Trica, Tboomer, P Tarsh, Trash, Trishboomba, Tboomps, and Roo (from childhood).
She is loved by many of the girls that she taught between 1999-2001 at CIAS (just look at her Myspace or Xanga!).
